Job Purpose
The Residence Life Office Manager assists the Department of Residence Life in supporting our goals pertaining to student support and development. This position will complete complex and confidential administrative work includes providing customer service to students, parents/families, and campus partners and managing processes that are essential to Residence Life daily operation.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree plus two years of applicable experience is required. Master's degree may be substituted and is preferred. Training/experience working in a higher education environment is preferred. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have significant experience working with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite. Requires excellent people and communication skills. Must be detail-oriented.

Ability to work effectively with other offices on and off campus. Must maintain professional demeanor at all times. Must use discretion in handling confidential documents and materials. Must be able to coordinate several projects at one time and complete work in a timely manner. A high energy level, self-discipline and control, commitment to students, strong work ethic, knowledge of self, ability to work under pressure, time and stress management, flexibility, effective communication and supervisory skills, good judgment, and a sense of humor are critical.

Activity
Departmental Communication:
Provides a high level of customer service for students, faculty, staff and families who have routine inquiries about the Department of Residence Life. Manage Residence Life Communications including walk-ins, phone, and departmental email. Triage and assign to staff as required.
Manage reminders and all staff announcements for department.
Assists RL Team in daily monitoring of crisis and immediate needs of students, parents, and campus partners. Monitors Students of Concern team chat and provides RL related background information and triages and assigns to staff as required.
Assists with keeping information current on the Residence Life website and social media. Approves advertisement for digital bulletin boards.
Provides a high level of support to the Director and others in the office when needed.

Activity
Technology & Administration:
Manages all rosters and access to departmental software. Use of Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Star Rez, eRezLife, Maxient, and other campus systems as needed.
Maintains all departmental forms and requests related to travel and the budget index. Creates and collects Interdepartmental Transfers for the department. Collects receipts from staff, scans copy into the system, and reconciles statements. Generates reports when necessary related to staffing and/or the budget.
Assists with record keeping and procedures of major department initiatives including selection processes, human resource paperwork, student conduct and grade reports, programming orders, programming and office supplies and needs.
Equip office and programming resource room with supplies and maintain check-outs and upkeep of equipment.
Assist with payroll, billing, fines, and large-scale programming as requested.
Learn and understand laws, policies, and procedures related to departmental purchasing, p card use, privacy, crisis response, and other job functions.
