Job Purpose |
Broadcast Video Engineer is responsible for recording and streaming large-scale College events. Provides technical engineering in the planning, design, implementation, and production for a wide variety of campus events. Serves as technician-in-charge
for studio and event streaming activities. Assists with the coordination and management of the operations of the College’s audio/video IT (Information Technology) production facilities. Assists A/V Event support with the setup and operation of A/V equipment.
Reviews specifications on new equipment, recommending new equipment purchases. |
Minimum Requirements |
Associate degree in related area or high school diploma and experience with broadcast television/radio, video/film production, sound engineering, and repair and maintenance of electronic broadcasting equipment. Candidates with an equivalent
combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply. |

Additional Comments Regarding Position |
Employee must be willing to occasionally work flexible hours. Must be able to occasionally climb and crawl into locations including roofs, attics, and basements. Must be able to lift and carry equipment at least 50lbs. Must be able to drive
around campus and to remote sites. Must push/pull roll carts loaded with equipment to various areas of campus. Assists other IT teams when needed. Some overnight travel may occur. Keep detailed records of equipment and tasks before, during, and after productions/events.
Establish and maintain working relationships with campus members frequently collaborated with for events and productions. |
