Minimum Requirements |
Communications and Marketing Coordinator for the School of Languages, Cultures, and World Affairs works
in the Dean’s Office and collaborates with office staff, other School departments and programs, College Communications, and College Marketing in order to promote awareness of the School’s curriculum, programs, services, faculty, and students. Must be able to develop and execute a communication and community outreach plan for LCWA. Basic responsibilities will include overseeing the School’s media and marketing strategy, by managing sites (Facebook, Instagram,
Youtube and others), keeping School websites up-to-date, editing the School’s triannual newsletter, and assisting the Dean in drafting communication for events and community functions. Must ensure all communications are professional and promote a public identity
consistent with the School’s mission and goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
Skills Include: · Ability to speak, read and write clearly and concisely · Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information · Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines · Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives · Proficient in Microsoft Office and Powerpoint · Experience with social media platforms · Experience working in InDesign & Photoshop and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, image-editing, editing video content, and web-editing software · Comfortable using Canva to develop promotional materials as needed · Experience with Cascade a plus. · Ability to work with Sharepoint a plus |
