Job Purpose |
Manager of Continuing Student Transfer Evaluation is responsible for all post-matriculation transfer credit functions in the
Registrar’s Office and acts as an expert resource for inquiries from various sources, off- and on-campus, regarding transfer credit evaluations. |
Minimum Requirements |
Bachelor’s degree and experience in student services. Substantial experience in higher education settings desired. Candidates
with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply. |
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
Requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as ability to represent the institution professionally, with
a wide range of individuals, including students, prospective students, professional colleagues, staff, faculty, and parents. Must be highly detail oriented and be able to manage multiple deadlines and high volume work load. Knowledge of best practices in transfer
credit evaluation and FERPA regulations, as well as fluency in international transfer credit, helpful. Knowledge of Ellucian Banner is desirable. Should be highly functional with Microsoft Office, basic database, document imaging, internet programs, and electronic
file transfer. |

1.Manages the evaluation process of transfer credit for graduate and undergraduate post-matriculated students, utilizing Ellucian
Banner and imaged document applications. Credit evaluations include, but are not limited to, initial evaluation of incoming transfer credit, coursework elsewhere, cross-registration, international/exchange program, military credit, Advance Placement (AP),
International Baccalaureate (IB), CLEP, and DSST credit. |

3. Acts as liaison with faculty transfer credit evaluators. Supervises the distribution of departmental evaluations and course
descriptions which need evaluation by academic departments. Oversees updates to the transfer inventory in Ellucian Banner and the CollegeSource Transfer Evaluation System (TES), building and ensuring accuracy of the inventory. |

Charleston policy and are universal throughout the College. Acts as contact for inquiries from students, staff, and faculty related to post-matriculated student transfer evaluations, policies and procedures. Interprets and participates in decisions regarding
the transfer credit processes. Trains new staff members assigned to the transfer credit evaluation area, regarding policies and procedures. Trains faculty and staff in the transfer evaluation process. |
