Job Purpose |
Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Office of Professional Development in Education, including the Director and Associate Director for Records and Budget. Maintains perpetual database of all EDPD courses
held within a fiscal year, and ensures that maintenance and repairs are processed efficiently according to policies and procedures. |
Minimum Requirements |
High School graduate with a minimum of 2 years administrative experience is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred and may be substituted for the related work experience. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education
are encouraged to apply. |
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
Must be experienced with Microsoft Office Suite software and proficient in word processing, PowerPoint, databases & Excel. Knowledge of Banner software is pertinent. Must be able to manage all departmental social media platforms. Must be
willing and able to learn new systems and software when needed. Must have and exhibit a helpful and positive attitude. Must be able to collect & assemble information in a clear, concise manner. Ability to manage heavy workload with multiple deadlines& sometimes
competing priorities required. Must be detail oriented, possess strong organizational & interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be able to relate well with faculty and students of diverse backgrounds. |
Additional Comments Regarding Position |
Requires running errands across campus as necessary. |
