The Cougars dropped to 4-4-3 overall and 2-2-2 in the CAA while Stony Brook improved to 4-7 and 2-4. The meeting was the first ever between Charleston and conference newcomer Seawolves. Jon Jeleric scored in the 31st minute, and Jonas Bickus added an insurance goal in the 72nd minute for Stony Brook. Chris Elliott had two of the Cougars’ four shots with both on target. Justin Bauer made one save in goal for Charleston, and Edmond Kaiser stopped all four Cougar attempts.
