CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston plays its first game at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point this season while also launching its CAA slate when the Cougars host Delaware on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The match will be the 22nd annual Aaron Olitsky Memorial Game. Olitsky played for head coach Ralph Lundy from 1993-96 and earned his degree from The College in 1997. He was tragically killed in a car accident in 2001.

The Cougars opened their regular season last weekend at the UAB Soccer for a Cure Classic, losing 2-0 to the host Blazers and playing to a 1-1 draw against Memphis. Chris Elliott scored the tying goal in the 48th minute against the Tigers, assisted by Chris Matlashewski.

Olly Marshall has played all 180 minutes and has four saves and a 1.50 goals against average.

The Blue Hens posted a 2-0 win over Mount St. Mary’s in their opener and dropped a 3-0 decision to Loyola (Md.). Seidu Shamsudeen and Sam Donnellan scored Delaware’s goals, and Adam Vik has five saves and a 1.50 GAA average in 180 minutes.

Delaware holds a 5-1-3 lead in the all-time series, but the Cougars won the most recent matchup last October in Newark, Del. Nick Burnz scored 1:19 into overtime for a 4-3 victory, Kane Ritchie added a goal and Conner Walmsley contributed a pair of assists.
