The Cougars (1-1-2, 1-0-1 CAA) fell behind 1-0 just five minutes earlier when Cannon Tootle found the back of the net. Leonardo D’Ambrosio then helped produced the tying tally when he fed Wilson for his first career assist. Charleston had two good opportunities to win it in the closing stages of the match. A shot by D’Ambrosio in the 82nd minute was blocked but created a corner kick chance. Wilson got off a shot on the corner but could not convert, and a shot by Chris Elliott with just over a minute left was saved. Both teams had 10 shots with Charleston getting two each from Wilson, D’Ambrosio and Elliott. Olly Marshall made three saves.
