CHARLESTON, S.C. – For the first time since 2019, city foes College of Charleston and Charleston Southern will face off in women’s soccer when the teams meet on Wednesday night at Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The Cougars are 4-2 and undefeated in three home games. All four victories have come via shutout, most recently a 7-0 win at South Carolina State. CSU is 2-2-1 and is coming off a 1-0 loss to Jacksonville.

The Cougars hold a 19-5-4 lead in the all-time series and are 17-0-2 in the last 19 meetings. The teams last played on October 18, 2019 with Charleston winning, 2-0. Current Cougar Olivia Freitas had an assist in that contest.

Faith Slimmer, who also has a CAA award to her credit, has two goals and is tied for second in the league with three assists along with Bubbles Dever.

The CSU attack is led by Jenea Knight, whose four goals has her on top of the Big South rankings. Bri Robinson is first in assists with four, all coming in the season opener against Brewton-Parker when she set a school single-game record. Robinson and Dakota Fiedler both have three goals.
