COUGARS TO HOST TCU IN PRESEASON EXHIBITION

 

CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston volleyball team will host Big 12 foe TCU in a preseason exhibition on Friday, August 19 in TD Arena. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m.

 

Charleston enters the 2022 season looking to build on a bounce-back campaign last fall that saw the Cougars post a 16-12 overall record and finish third in the CAA standings with a 9-7 mark. The Cougars return rising seniors Gabi Bailey, Claire Campbell and Lexi Wierzbicki who combined for more than 63 percent of Charleston’s kills last season.

 

The Horned Frogs finished the 2021 campaign with an 8-18 overall record and a 2-14 mark in the Big 12. Head coach Jason Williams enters his first season at the helm returning all but six kills from last year’s squad. Senior outside hitter Julia Adams was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team after averaging 3.03 kills per set last fall.
