McCants opened the series with a four-hitter and nine strikeouts in a 2-0 win. After Mia Dittoe put the Cougars ahead with a home run in the fourth, McCants did not allow a baserunner the rest of the way, retiring the final 13 Tigers. She closed the series with a 1-0 victory on Sunday, surrendering only three hits while fanning five in her third shutout and eighth complete game of the season. McCants recorded her 100th strikeout of the year in the fifth inning. Over her past five appearances covering 30.2 innings, she has allowed 12 hits and two runs (one earned) while striking out 37 and lowering her ERA to 2.23, the fifth-best mark in the CAA. McCants is also fourth in strikeouts (103), innings (116.1) and opponent batting average (.226). The Cougars wrap up the regular season with three games at Delaware on Friday and Saturday.
