Austin and Eastern Kentucky. Play will begin on Friday, April 22 at the John Hunt Sand Volleyball Complex in Huntsville, Ala. Charleston enters its first championship as a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference with a 19-11 overall record including six wins against ASUN opponents. The Cougars conclude the regular season one win away from equaling the program’s single-season record of 20 victories set during the 2019 campaign. Juniors Gabi Bailey and Kyra Thompson pace the Cougars with 21 wins each this season including a 19-3 mark as a duo. Ella Reames has compiled an 18-12 individual record including nine wins in the top flight, while Emma Falk sports an identical individual mark featuring a 15-2 record alongside Maria Zweig at threes. Charleston will open the championship with two matches on Friday taking on No. 12 seed Eastern Kentucky at 11:00 a.m. and eighth-seeded Mercer at 3:30 p.m. The Cougars will then face off with fourth-seeded UNCW at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday morning followed by a 3:30 p.m. matchup with No. 9 seed Stephen F. Austin. A 11:00 a.m. tilt with top-seeded Stetson on Sunday morning will conclude the Cougars’ slate in pool play. The top two teams in Pool A will advance to Monday’s semifinal round at 12:30 p.m. alongside the top two teams from Pool B. Second-seeded Florida Gulf Coast, No. 3 North Florida, No. 6 North Alabama, No. 7 Central Arkansas, No. 10 Jacksonville and No. 11 Jacksonville State comprise Pool B. The championship match will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon.
