(Wheeler Beach) Records: Charleston (18-10), South Carolina (18-8), Georgia State (20-11) HOW IT HAPPENED South Carolina carried an early 2-0 lead into the second wave after posting a pair of straight-set wins in the fourth and fifth flights. The Gamecocks would notch a trio of two-set victories in the first through third flights to complete the sweep. Ella Reames and Sky Benjamin delivered the Cougars’ lone point in the second match of the day with a 21-11, 21-16 win in the top flight against Georgia State. PAIR OF THE DAY Ella Reames and Sky Benjamin posted their eighth victory of the campaign against Georgia State and gave the Gamecocks’ top pairing all they had in a 24-22, 21-17 battle to open the day.
