CHARLESTON HEADS NORTH FOR THREE REGATTAS

 

CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston sailing team will head north for three regattas this weekend including the Szambecki Team Race in Norfolk, Va. and the Seahawk Women’s Team Race in St. Mary’s, Md. The Cougars will also compete in North Points #6 on Sunday in Wilmington, N.C.

 

Charleston will open the weekend on Saturday and Sunday at the Szambecki Team Race with Axel Stordahl, Max Anker and Brandon Geller skippering and Lucy Klempen, Noelle Owen and Kalea Woodard at crew. Jack Sutton and Kaelin Stock will make the trip as heavy crews with Pierce Ornstein as an extra.

 

Kiera O’Reardon, Fredrikke Foss and Grace Squires will skipper for the Cougars at the Seahawk Women’s Team Race on Saturday and Sunday in St. Mary’s, Md. with Anna Sherry, Roxanne Snyder and Chloe Hudgins crewing. Cara Samson and Rowan Schanley slot into the lineup as heavy crew with Emma Tallman as an extra skipper.

 

Charlie McKenzie will skipper A-Division at North Points #6 on Sunday with Nina Lubchenco at crew. Christofor Tella, Jr. is slated to skipper B-Division alongside crew Grace Beard.
