RICHMOND, Va. --- The CAA and College of Charleston announced the 2022-23 women’s basketball conference schedule Tuesday morning finalizing the full season slate.

The Cougars’ 18-game slate tips off Dec. 29 with a trip to Towson as part of a grueling opening to the league slate with three of Charleston’s first four CAA contests away from home. College of Charleston wraps their conference schedule with back-to-back home contests against Towson and Northeastern.

CofC faces six opponents both home and away (Elon, North Carolina A&T, UNCW, Stony Brook, Towson, William & Mary) while hosting Hofstra, Monmouth and Northeastern and traveling to Delaware, Drexel and Hampton.

Hampton, Monmouth, North Carolina A&T and Stony Brook will compete as league members for the first time after joining the conference July 1, 2022. Charleston will face Monmouth, North Carolina A&T and Stony Brook for the first time in program history.

The Cougars rattled off three victories to end the regular season in 2021-22 and made a run to the CAA semifinals as the No. 5 seed.

The 2023 CAA Women’s Championship is set for March 8-12 at SECU Arena on the campus of Towson University with the winner earning the automatic bid into the 2023 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.

CofC is slated to open the season at home for the first time in three seasons when the Cougars host NCAA Division III Meredith College on Monday, November 7. Admission is free to all women's basketball games at TD Arena.
